"Atlantic Salmon Chronicles is the most instructive salmon book in 40 years. An artful blend of technology, analysis and lyrical prose. In the first half of this book Nightingale offers a totally new look at fly rods and lines, a critical evaluation of fly reels, new insights into how one chooses flies and a review of other fishing tackle and equipment. The second half of the book contains a widely acclaimed evaluation of the conservation of Atlantic salmon as well as a sentimental journey along his "sacred salmon rivers." (publisher) A fine copy in jacket, signed by author on title page.
