The instrument is equipped with a telescopic sight, a wide graduated arc with a precision reading system, mirrors, and several colored optical filters; one colored filter is missing. The set is presented in its wooden case, interior lined with green felt and fitted with metal clasps. The brass shows a patina, signs of use, and a few oxidation marks consistent with its age.
