Sexima - Chronodate - No reserve price - Men - 1970-1979

Mechanical Sicura Swiss Made chronograph from the 1970s, distinguished by the typical sporty and experimental aesthetic of Swiss watchmaking of the period. The generous cushion case measures 39.5 × 43 mm, a size particularly interesting for a vintage chronograph. The dial features a successful gray/silver and black sector construction, with two chronograph subdials, an orange central seconds hand, and a date window at 3 o'clock. On the rehaut runs a multicolor tachymetric scale with the indication “Base 1000 / Mile.” The inscriptions “17 Rubis – Incabloc” and “Swiss Made” are also clearly shown. The movement is mechanical hand-wound with 17 jewels. Very similar Sicura chronographs from this period are documented with Bettlach Ebauches movements of the 84xx family; however, without a photograph of the movement, I do not assign a precise caliber to this example. The case back bears the markings “Stainless Steel Back – Base Metal Bezel – Swiss Made – Waterresistant – Antimagnetic – Incabloc.” The case shows significant signs of wear, with scratches, abrasions, and loss of surface finish, especially along the edges and lugs. The dial, however, retains a strong visual presence. Brown leather strap as a replacement. No recent service is documented. Water resistance not tested and not guaranteed.
