Story & Heritage Seiko played a defining role in the development of quartz watchmaking, transforming the industry after introducing the world's first commercial quartz wristwatch in 1969. During the following decades, the company developed an enormous variety of quartz movements and designs, ranging from highly technical watches to refined, minimalist models. This 5Y94-5010 represents the elegant side of Seiko’s 1980s production. Rather than emphasizing complications, the design focuses on proportion and simplicity: a slender rectangular case, restrained white dial and integrated gold-tone bracelet. The minimalist dial and architectural case give the watch a timeless Tank-inspired character, while the original bracelet is an important element in preserving the cohesive appearance intended for the model. A distinctive vintage Seiko for collectors of rectangular watches, classic Japanese quartz timepieces and elegant 1980s design. Internal Reference Number - ITM-952
