Sculpture, cavallo - 29 cm - Murano glass - 1990

Beautiful glass horse with amber speckles, finished with gold leaf and oxide powder to achieve a slight 'sunken' effect. A work of exquisite craftsmanship; note the beauty and precision with which the head, mane, and the twisted tail were executed. Object presumably made in the 1980s–1990s. Excellent condition. On the front right hip there is a portion of glass without the amber speckles, onto which gold leaf has been applied in a mirror image to the same position on the left. This is not a defect; the horse was made this way originally. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 25 x 11.5 cm. No signature, mark, or sticker.
