Sculpture

A distinctive decorative sculpture of a globe being carried and embraced by multiple hands. The combination of the globe and hands gives the piece a strong symbolic presence and can be interpreted as connectedness, responsibility, and collectively bearing the world. The globe is finished in a dark shade and features raised, clearly palpable continents with a coarse relief texture. The hands are also dark in tone and finished with warm bronze/gold-colored accents, bringing the various shapes and details nicely to the fore. The piece sits on a sturdy black square plinth, and is attractive from multiple angles. With its expressive design, this is a striking decorative object for, among other settings, a modern interior, office, reception area, library, or gallery. The different textures, color nuances and finishes are part of the sculpture's character. Please examine the photos carefully for a good impression of the object and its condition.
