Select lot consisting of two bottle of Scapegrace Anthem and two bottle of Scapegrace Vanguard (both single malts from the Scapegrace distillery in Central Otago, New Zealand). These core expressions stand out for their exceptional quality, maturation in select casks (including virgin French oak for Vanguard), and complex profiles that combine fruit, honey, and spice with the unique terroir of Otago. Standard 70cl bottles, 46% ABV (or similar depending on the lot), original labels intact (modern and elegant designs), excellent liquid level, and impeccable condition – perfect for collectors of New Zealand whiskies, comparative tastings, or expanding a world-renowned premium inventory. Star Whisky 1: Scapegrace Anthem Single Malt Whisky. A small-batch NAS single malt with balanced maturation that highlights fruit and cereal. Awarded a Gold Medal in the New Zealand Small Batch Single Malt category at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards. • Profile: A nose of fresh cereal, golden honey, crisp apple and pear, hints of vanilla and subtle grass; a balanced and elegant palate with honey sweetness, malt, white fruits, soft spices, and a clean, medium-long finish with pleasant warmth. Smooth and vibrant texture. • Style: Fresh, approachable, and complex – ideal for sipping neat or with a drop of water. The 2026 Gold Medal confirms its excellence in the category. Star Whisky 2: Scapegrace Vanguard Single Malt Whisky. A NAS single malt matured in virgin French oak with Laureate barley, offering a richer and more structured profile. Awarded Gold Winner and Best in Category (Single Malt No Age Statement) at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards, as well as Best New Zealand Single Malt. • Profile: A nose of abundant cereal, honey, apple, and pear, with hints of vanilla and golden syrup; a grassy palate with honey sweetness, vanilla, and a lingering finish of elegance and depth. Full and refined texture. • Style: Complex and award-winning – ideal for contemplative sipping. Vanguard has been recognized as one of the world's finest single malts in its category. Special note on the medals: Scapegrace Vanguard was named Best New Zealand Single Malt and Gold Winner in the Single Malt No Age Statement category at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards. Anthem received a Gold Medal in the New Zealand Small Batch Single Malt category at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards. These international accolades confirm the exceptional quality of both expressions and their position among the world's finest whiskies. This duo offers a fascinating contrast: Anthem fresh and balanced vs. A more structured and award-winning Vanguard. These aren't mass-produced whiskies: they represent New Zealand innovation, the terroir of Central Otago, and growing value in premium and award-winning single malt collections.
