Salvador Dali (1904-1989) - Figura encadenada La Vida es Sueño 1975

SALVADOR DALÍ (1904–1989) Figura encadenada 1975 Original etching on Arches paper, France, created for the suite La Vida es Sueño, inspired by the famous work of Pedro Calderón de la Barca. The composition features at the top an elaborate architectural and literary structure accompanied by surrealist calligraphic elements, while in the lower area there is a linear, equestrian figure, characteristic of Dalí's graphic language. Dalí's signature incorporated into the plate. High-quality paper with deckle-edged borders. The sheet preserves wide margins. Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) Segismundo (Sigismund), from the series The Life is a Dream Design/plate dated 1966 Edition published in 1975 by Editorial Subirana, Barcelona Etching on Arches paper Approx. 38 × 28 cm, sheet size: approx. 38 × 28 cm. Technique: etching on Arches paper. Date: 1975. Series: The Life is a Dream. Signature: signature on the plate. Reference: Field 73-1; related to the Michler/Löpsinger cataloging of the series. Good overall condition, with the natural characteristics of the paper and its age. Provenance: Enrique Sabater, friend and secretary of Salvador Dalí during his period of close collaboration with the artist, according to provenance provided by the owner. An interesting exemplar of Dalí's graphic production from the seventies, particularly attractive for preserving the intact bifolio of the original edition and for its provenance.
