Splendid and highly sought-after pair of vintage archival sunglasses from the Maison Yves Saint Laurent, model "Deauville-9", produced in France in the early 1980s. This piece stands out for its magnificent cellulose acetate frame in honey/amber tortoiseshell color, one of the warmest and most elegant variants of the collection. The temples feature extraordinary sculptural work with a geometric mosaic, embellished by the iconic triangular golden insert with the YSL monogram interlaced in relief. The original lenses of the era are tinted. The lot is complete with its rare original coordinating soft case from the era, featuring a brown reptile-skin embossed texture and the exclusive asymmetrical cut of the flap.
