Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life has roots in masterful craftsmanship. For forty years he has worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the stopping of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic.
