Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life roots lie in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche region, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing, and chrome plating. The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always nurtured. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures.
