Royce “Charles de Gaulle” Portrait Coin Watch – S. Kocher 17J – Hand-Wound – Swiss Made – 1960s Condition Extremely rare collector's piece in a well-kept, authentic overall condition. The crystal shows no noticeable scratches. The elaborately designed relief dial is clean and very well preserved. The case shows light, age-related wear appropriate to the watch's age. The mounted leather strap has been suitably chosen for the watch and has been replaced subsequently. Transparency note: The strap is to be considered a wear part due to age. A guarantee of its future durability cannot be assumed. Replacement is generally recommended. If continued use is intended, the original strap should be handled carefully and not subjected to heavy stress. The three-dimensionally worked portrait depicts General Charles de Gaulle, one of the most influential figures in 20th-century French history and a symbol of Free France. The portrait is surrounded by star-shaped hour markers and gives the watch its unmistakable character. Particularly striking is the outer grooved case design that further emphasizes the coin-watch aesthetic. The crown with a black cabochon adds another elegant accent. Inside, a S.
