Royal Bayreuth and T&S Germany Porcelain Tapestry Vases and Pitcher

A collection of German porcelain cabinet pieces featuring a specialized tapestry finish. The grouping includes three small ovoid and waisted vases decorated with classical landscape scenes and figures in period dress, a larger ovoid vase with floral sprays on a lavender and white ground, and a small pitcher with a rose motif and gilded handle. The tapestry texture is achieved through a fabric-like application to the porcelain body before firing. The bases of the pitcher and landscape vases bear a blue underglaze mark with two lions flanking a crest, reading Royal Bayreuth above and BAVARIA below; two bases include gold numerals 26 and 97. The larger floral vase features a green printed mark with a crest containing the characters T & S above the word GERMANY.
