Round Quill Box with Arch Motif

Canadian. A Mi'kmaq quill-decorated round box with a strong design in white, blue, ochre, and brown on the lid, with a double arch motif and spruce root rim with white fish motifs. The quilled sides have vertical columns of white, black, and blue chevrons. Birchbark with a pine bottom. Nova Scotia. C. 1860.
