Ross 17 Jewels Incabloc – Swiss Mechanical Watch – Silver Dial – Gold Plated – 1960s–1970s An elegant vintage Ross mechanical wristwatch, featuring a clean silver-tone sunburst dial, applied gold-tone hour indexes and a classic Swiss manual-winding movement. The minimalist dial is particularly attractive, with faceted baton markers, slender gold-tone hands and a central seconds hand. The inscriptions “ROSS – 17 JEWELS – INCABLOC – SWISS MADE” underline its traditional Swiss mechanical construction and period character. With its approximately 34 mm case, slim profile and restrained design, this is a classic example of a mid-century Swiss wristwatch with timeless proportions. The silver-tone sunburst dial is well preserved overall, displaying light age-related marks while retaining its attractive original appearance. The applied gold-tone indexes and hands remain visually appealing. The acrylic crystal has a visible crack around the 3 o’clock position, which should be noted as part of the condition of the watch. The stainless steel case back shows scratches and normal traces of previous use. The Swiss mechanical movement appears visually clean in the supplied photographs and features a traditional manual-winding construction with 17 jewels and Incabloc shock protection. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and show the actual condition of the item. Story & Heritage This Ross represents the understated elegance that characterised many Swiss mechanical watches produced during the mid-20th century. Its design follows the classic principles of the period: a slim round case, silver sunburst dial, applied baton indexes and a manually wound mechanical movement. Rather than relying on decorative complexity, the watch achieves its character through balanced proportions and traditional Swiss construction. The 17-jewel movement and Incabloc shock-protection system are particularly representative of the evolution of reliable everyday Swiss mechanical watches during this era. Incabloc was developed to protect the sensitive balance staff against shocks, considerably improving the durability of mechanical wristwatches. Today, the combination of its warm gold-plated case, restrained silver dial and mechanical movement gives this Ross an authentic vintage presence. A charming vintage Swiss mechanical watch for collectors who appreciate classic design, traditional manual-winding movements and genuine period character. Internal Reference Number - SOA 23
