This specific lot stands out for belonging to the earliest, pure, and highly desirable variant among collectors: the inside of the lid is exposed solid wood (lacking the fabric lining of later productions) and bears the famous wording "Création Genève Rolex" impressed in dark brown, a distinctive feature of this very first series.
