Rococo Architectural ornament - 1750-1800, 1850-1900 - Rocaille Shelf

Cartouche shelf in carved and gilded wood. Structure made entirely of hand-carved wood and finished with gold leaf gilding. Estimated period: 19th century. Note that a cricket is carved on the leaves, on the left and on the right. A lizard with a small piece of its head missing. Small losses on the tips of some foliate scrolls.
