Ring shuttle in rose gold and silver with diamonds and blue enamel

Rare 18kt rose gold and silver (hallmark: owl) navette ring set with blue guilloché enamel decorated with theater-themed motifs (tambourine, lute with sheet music, mask) set with rose-cut diamonds in a surround of old-cut diamonds. Total weight of diamonds estimated at approx. 2.20 Cts. Work of the 18th century, circa 1770-1780. Gross weight: 9.74g Size: 61 (diameter 19.40/ US 9.50). Height: 3.70cm Width: 2.10cm Condition: slight micro-scratches and oxidation on the gold, silver, diamond, and enamel parts, see photos. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, rings set with diamonds on dark blue enamel were fashionable in Europe. The most frequently encountered models were the so-called "firmament" rings "firmament" rings (where the diamonds are spread across the enamel like a celestial vault), and the "Memento Mori" mourning rings featuring urns paved with diamonds.
