Richard Ginori - Manifattura di Doccia - Coffee service...

An authentic jewel of Italian ceramic art: a prestigious and elegant complete coffee service for 6 people, signed Richard Ginori (Doccia). The service comes from the prestigious Doccia Manifattura, as clearly evidenced by the green stamp visible in the photo ("GINORI - DOCCIA"). Based on the type of mark and the serial numbers impressed, the service is dated with excellent approximation to the period spanning the 1930s to the 1950s of the 20th century. It was a golden era for Italian design. The manufacture is of exceptional quality and stands out for the complexity and refinement of its decorations: White porcelain is enriched by a sumptuous and detailed relief work. On all pieces – from cups to plates, from the coffee pot to the sugar bowl – there are intricate geometric weaves and stylized phytomorphic motifs, highlighting the porcelain’s purity. This textured effect is one of the features most sought after by collectors. At the center of each piece stands an elegant colored motif: a stylized green vine supporting three pink geometric rosettes. This motif, in Liberty style or Art Deco, adds a delicate and distinctive touch of color. The entire service is hand-trimmed with a fine gilded edge in real 24-carat gold. The gold is also present on handles and spouts, giving a warm gleam and an extreme luxury finish. The service is in excellent overall condition. It has been cared for with great care and is free from breaks, chips or restorations. As natural for an object of this age and use, it shows light signs of time and wear. The service is complete for 6 people and includes: 6 coffee cups: Height: 5.7 cm – Opening: Ø 6 cm 6 saucers: Ø 11.6 cm 1 coffee pot with lid: Height: 22 cm – Width: 11.7 cm – Length with handle and spout: 22.8 cm 1 sugar bowl with lid: Height: 12.5 cm – Width: 11 cm – Length with handles: 15.2 cm 1 milk jug: Height: 12.5 cm – Width: 9 cm
