全部拍賣 / Ancient Art / Rare standing figure of Shakyamuni Buddha...
A not very common and singular standing figure of Shakyamuni Buddha, cast in bronze with rich reliefs partly gilded, dated around 1963. Unlike the classical iconography that typically shows Shakyamuni seated in meditation, this piece stands out by depicting the historical Buddha standing on a lotus pedestal in an itinerant or mendicant pose. * Iconic details of the piece: Left hand: Holds the traditional alms bowl or collection (Patra). Right hand: Executes the gesture of the Varada Mudra (pose of granting favors, charity, and compassion toward devoted beings). Robe: Monk's tunic extraordinarily worked with floral engravings and gold-edged borders in a fine Sino-Tibetan style. * Measurements: 17 cm in height. 700 g in weight * Condition: Retains its genuine dark patina and the attractive vintage wear on the gilding, which gives it great vintage character. No cracks or structural breaks. The images are an essential part of the description. It will be sent by registered mail, properly packaged and insured.
