RAPHAËL MONNET - REMAINS - RED - XXL

Original, unique, and hand-painted work by Raphaël Monnet Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting where color becomes material, rhythm, and movement. He treats the canvas as an space of experimentation. The painting is projected, accumulated, and confronted with opposing colors. The impacts cross, certain areas densify while others allow the background to breathe. His process does not rely on a pre-made image but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an balance emerges between apparent disorder and pictorial organization. Based in the Léo Varek workshop in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around the projection and overlay of colors. His works have an immediate presence at a distance and reveal, when you approach, a multitude of details, shades, and unexpected encounters between pigments. Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of the projections, the distribution of material, and the interactions between colors can never be reproduced identically.
