Rainer Schell

Selling a set of 6 original vintage stackable chairs from Schlapp Möbel, Made in Germany. The chairs are attributed to designer Rainer Schell and the model Canto 101. Characteristic features are the straight, light-wood frame, the molded seat, and the contrasting black backrest. Especially practical and part of the design: the chairs can be stacked compactly for space-saving storage. A beautiful example of German mid-century/post-war modernism and today a great eye-catcher for dining rooms, lofts, cafés, restaurants, studios, offices, or practices. Some chairs still have the sticker on them. Details: • Set of 6 chairs • Schlapp Möbel – Made in Germany • Design: Rainer Schell • Model: Canto 101 • Vintage, presumably 1960s/70s • stackable • wood with black backrest • original manufacturer marking partially present The chairs are in authentic vintage condition with age- and use-related signs. Scratches, small dings, and patina are present and visible in the photos. They have deliberately not been heavily restored, so the original character remains.
