Set forth in a poeme of the history of Ionah, 2 parts in 1, second edition, title with woodcut vignette with verse beneath, lacking initial blank, title chipped at outer margin and with a few ink stains, [STC 20545; ESTC S115478], Printed by Felix Kyngston, for Richard Moore, and are to be sold at his shop in Saint Dunstans Church-yard, in Fleetstreet, 1626 bound with Quarles (Francis) Iob militant: with meditations diuine and morall, first edition, title with woodcut printer's device, lacking initial blank, I1 very small burn hole within text, final f. outer margin little chipped and with two very short tears, closely trimmed at head, [Pforzheimer, 813; STC 20550; ESTC S115485], Printed by Felix Kyngston for George Winder, and are to bee sold at his shop in Saint Dunstons Churchyard in Fleetstreet, 1624, together 2 works in 1 vol., woodcut cartouches around 'The Argument' and head-pieces, trimmed, in first work just touching first letter of title and affecting headlines, and in both works affecting the occasional printed sidenote, stained (mostly second work), some spotting or foxing, lightly browned, early 20th century burgundy half morocco, spine gilt, rubbed, small 4to *** Both works are rare at auction. Quarles (1592-1644), English poet, best remembered for his emblem book. Provenance: 'Robert xxx, his book, 1651'; 'Josiah Sharp, 1835' (ink inscriptions to title).
