The PS Audio GCC-250 (Control Amplifier) is a heavy integrated stereo amplifier, built around PS Audio’s Gain Cell technology and powerful class-D output stages (B&O ICEpower modules). The model is known for its Gain Cell preamplifier stage, which controls volume by adjusting the gain of the circuit itself rather than attenuating the signal via a conventional potentiometer. This ensures a clean signal path with minimal noise and distortion at any listening level. With a power of 250 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms (and 500 Watts at 4 Ohms), the amplifier delivers ample power and grip, keeping even demanding and low-impedance speakers tightly under control. The unit is supplied as a standalone amplifier. In terms of condition, the unit is in nice shape with normal signs of use commensurate with its age. The unit has been functionally tested.
