The sapphire at the centre of this ring sparkles in evening sky blue. Transparent, almost completely clear, with only a few natural inclusions, the stone shimmers in different shades, always brought to life by the play of light on the facets. It is a completely natural sapphire that has not been heated to enhance its colour. Since more than 90% of sapphires currently on the market are treated, this is a truly exceptional piece. Six prongs of high karat white gold hold the sapphire. Twelve beautiful white diamonds, two of which are baguette cut, surround it in a sparkling frame, set slightly behind the sapphire as if they were carrying it upwards by their light. The jewel features a variation on the classic entourage ring, that is, the ring shape in which a large stone is framed by a ring of diamonds. The two diamond baguettes on the ring shoulders break up this classic shape - as does the so-called "stirrup bar", which guarantees a secure fit on the finger. The quality of the materials is excellent, for example the diamonds used in addition to the untreated sapphire are also of outstanding quality. All stones are of the Top Wesselton colour grade and are often of flawless quality. The ring was made around 1980 in Nuremberg, the original certificate of the goldsmith Georg Wertel has been preserved. We have also had an independent appraisal done which has confirmed the quality and value of the materials used. It is included with the ring, which is in excellent condition.
