POPSAN - Princess Mononoke San and the Kodama (もののけ姫のサンとコダマ) - UNIQUE WORK

There is only one in the world - Edition 1/1 In this vertical format, Popsan presents San, the Wolf Princess from Princess Mononoke (Studio Ghibli), in a moment of contemplation. In profile, with her eyes closed, she extends her open hand toward a small Kodama that glows with warm gold in the hollow of her palm. Red markings cross her forehead and cheek, and her eyelids are tinged with green. A large golden disc hangs from her ear, and a necklace of white fangs and black pearls drapes over her chest. Above her, the enormous head of a white wolf, Moro, moves its snout to the right. On the left, the red mask with large black eyes rests on the white fur cape, speckled with vermilion circles. Behind the scene, bands of forest line up: black conifers on slate blue, sage green foliage, two golden moons, and, to the right, a column of black crescents. The inscription もののけ姫 reads vertically on the left. Red, white, green, blue and gold form a subdued palette. One would think the forest is holding its breath. A lived-in and luminous piece, ideal for bringing a touch of Japanese forest to the interior of a collector or a Ghibli enthusiast.
