Pleasanton, Texas. $5 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1800-1. First NB. Charter #8103.

Pleasanton, Texas. $5 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1800-1. First NB. Charter #8103. PCGS Banknote Choice Fine 15. A tough note from Atascosa County issued under the Series of 1929. This evenly circulated T1 $5 issued by the First National Bank of Pleasanton (Charter# 8103) is one of only 10 non-institutional notes recorded on this institution by the National Bank Note Census and one of four recorded for the Series of 1929 overall. To those who specialize in Texas Nationals, it is no secret that intense demand has followed pieces from countless charters on the state for notes issued under this specific series imprint in recent years. Yet the last offering we can trace for the Series of 1929 before the T1 $10 that we sold in our Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Lot 21294) dates back to 2012 which again underscores this lot as a rare opportunity to be had. Estimate: $1,250 - $1,750. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
