Peter Saul *1934 San Francisco is an American painter. His work shows references to Pop Art, Surrealism, and Expressionism. Because of his early use of motifs from cartoons of pop culture in the late 1950s and very early 1960s, he is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Pop Art movement.
