Nur einzelne Schriften sind in wenigen Bibliotheken nachweisbar.- Erster Besitzer der Sammlung war Johann Heinrich Cohausen (Hildesheim 1665-1750 Vreden), Leibarzt des Bischofs von Münster, heute noch bekannt als satirisch-medizinischer Schriftsteller. Weitere alte Einträge auf Vorsatz und Innendeckel, hinten neuerer Stempel.- Buchblock im unteren Bundsteg gebrochen, dort auf 50 Textblättern mit leichtem Feuchtrand und einigen Einrissen bzw. wenigen Fehlstellen durch Papierfraß (vereinzelt mit etwas Textverlust). Brief Instruction on How the Country Man and Commoner... to Protect Themselves During the Rampant Dysentery and Plague Epidemic... - A rare collection of writings from the last year of the 'Great Plague', which claimed more than a million lives between 1708 and 1714 during the Northern War. Only individual copies are known to exist in a few libraries. - The first owner of the collection was Johann Heinrich Cohausen (Hildesheim 1665-1750 Vreden), personal physician to the Bishop of Münster, still known today as a satirical medical writer. Further old inscriptions on the endpaper and inside cover, a more recent stamp on the back. - The book block is broken at the bottom of the spine, with slight damp staining and some tears or a few missing pieces due to paper rot on 50 text pages (occasionally with some text loss).
