‘Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse’ by Mike Grandmaison by Mike Grandmaison Photograph 30.0 x 20.0 :: ‘Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse’ by Mike Grandmaison Peggy’s Cove Nova Scotia. Canada Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed spots in North America with a stunningly picturesque fishing harbor that is visited annually by thousands of tourists. It is very difficult to photograph the lighthouse without people in your photograph. I have visited here on numerous occasions and on my last visit I arrived in the afternoon of a very cloudy day. It poured ‘cats and dogs’ that night but the next morning I was able to walk alone and photograph the famous Peggy’s Cove lighthouse at the crack of dawn. This perhaps my favorite of all my Peggy’s Cove images. Peggy’s Cove is also 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from where flight Swissair 111 crashed into the north Atlantic Ocean killing all 229 people aboard. A memorial site now stands nearby the village.
