A beautiful and highly collectible pair of vintage Patrick Mavros silver wine drip rings, acquired directly at the Patrick Mavros Studio in Harare, Zimbabwe around 2000-2001. What makes this pair particularly special is their wonderfully sculptural design. Rather than depicting a single animal, each ring features a continuous frieze of multiple African animals gathered together around the entire silver band. One ring depicts a family of hippopotamuses, while the other features a group of warthogs. The individual animals are intricately worked and full of character, creating a beautiful sense of movement and storytelling. Both wine drip rings retain their original velvet inner lining, an elegant detail that adds to their authenticity and vintage appeal.
