Pair of French Chairs, 19th Century

French chairs dating from the 19th century, crafted in carved hardwood with gracefully shaped balloon-form backs inset with hand-woven cane. The serpentine upholstered seats are supported by slender cabriole legs, creating a refined silhouette characteristic of French furniture of the period. The warm patina of the wood, combined with the cane backs and upholstered seats, highlights the quality of their craftsmanship and timeless decorative appeal. Suitable for use as dining, occasional, or accent chairs, they retain the charm and character associated with 19th-century French decorative arts. Wear consistent with age and use.
