A major monograph devoted to the American photographer Paul Outerbridge (1896–1958), a leading figure in American modernist and advertising photography. The book covers everything from his still lifes of the 1920s—influenced by Cubism and New Objectivity—to his experiments with color photography and his famous nudes. First edition of this Taschen monograph, richly illustrated and now a standard reference work on Outerbridge’s oeuvre. The reproduced photographs include, in particular, his modernist compositions, still lifes, advertising photographs, self-portraits, and nudes. Condition: interior in good condition; copy appears complete. Dust jacket shows fairly pronounced signs of wear, rubbing, small tears, and damage to the top and bottom flaps and corners, particularly in the lower section. Hardcover and interior are in better condition.
