Oscar Leonor (1976) - Novia (XXL)

ovia is a homage to the eponymous painting by Marcel Duchamp. This representation of La Novia aims to humorously emphasize that facet of a mechanical and robotic gadgetry that Duchamp's work hinted at. It approaches Oscar Leonor's painting toward still life, or rather, toward using the still life as a tool to build invented figures. The work is delivered without a frame (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer should restretch it and mount it on a frame. The indicated measurements are of the painting once stretched and mounted on a frame. The actual canvas dimensions are larger to allow for mounting. Hand-signed on the front. Includes certificate of authenticity. You can follow the artist’s work on his Instagram profile: https://www.instagram.com/oscarleonor/ Artistic trajectory, main exhibitions.
