Ornamental cup with majolica pedestal, historicist style, 20th century

Descriptio Glazed porcelain, Mallolica style. Measures 86 x 32 x 25 cm. The set comprises a fluted pedestal and a large ornamental cup raised on a molded base, all adorned with a repertoire of gadroons, scrolls, and mascarons of classical resonance. The honey-colored glaze, with its reddish-brown hue, unifies the piece and enhances the richness of the relief, creating a bright and compact effect that underscores its decorative character. The composition, with its pronounced vertical and monumental feel, reflects the 20th-century historicist taste for recreations of Renaissance and Baroque models intended for interior ornamentation. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
