Onbekend - Tin toy - Antiek speelgoed tinnen figuren...

Special lot of antique hand-painted tin figures (Zinnfiguren / Flachfiguren), probably German and dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The collection consists of several cohesive fantasy and transport scenes with anthropomorphic animals in human clothing, including among others: - a banquet table set for a feast with multiple figures; - a richly dressed female figure with an attendant; - a carriage with passengers; - a sedan chair / palanquin with bearers; - various figures with sleds and seating furniture; - ceremonial carrying or transport pieces; - two large palm trees; - several loose trees and landscape elements; - two rope dancers The figures are cast in tin, mostly flat in form, and feature original polychrome hand painting. The different parts are clearly assembled as a unified thematic whole and are consistent in scale and style. The exact manufacturer has not been established. In execution, the pieces fit within the tradition of German, particularly Nuremberg/Fürth, tin flat figures from around 1880–1910. The figures are in used antique condition with visible signs of aging and wear, including paint loss, wear, and some distortions or minor damage. These are clearly visible in the photos. One rope dancer has a broken string. An interesting lot for collectors of: antique toys, Zinnfiguren, Flachfiguren, German toy production, and historical diorama figures. The photos form an important part of the description.
