Omega - Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Day‑Date — Blue Teak...

Welcome to my Top Swiss Wrist Watches Boutique! Omega SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. Founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1903, the company formerly operated as La Generale Watch Co. until incorporating the name Omega in 1903, becoming Louis Brandt et Frère-Omega Watch & Co. In 1984, the company officially changed its name to Omega SA and opened its museum in Biel/Bienne to the public. Britain's Royal Flying Corps used Omega watches in 1917 for its combat units, followed by the U.S. Army in 1918, and NASA in 1969 for Apollo 11. Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932 and is the current timekeeper of the America's Cup yacht race. Omega was a main partner of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Omega experienced a resurgence with advertisements that focused on product placement strategies, such as in the James Bond 007 films; the character had previously worn a Rolex Submariner but switched to the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M with GoldenEye (1995), and later an Omega Planet Ocean and Aqua Terra. At the heart of this timepiece is the Co-Axial escapement, a revolution in watchmaking when first introduced. The reduced stress on the moving parts means less need for lubrication, longer-lasting accuracy and a more stable power reserve rate. In short, this timepiece performs better for longer. Omega’s sporty Seamaster collection is a tribute to the brand’s maritime legacy. This exquisite example of our renowned watchmaking pays homage to OMEGA’s dive watch heritage and our adventurous pioneering spirit. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Day‑Date combines a distinctive dark blue Teak Concept dial with a 41.5 mm stainless-steel case. Inspired by the wooden decks of luxury sailing boats, its vertical dial decoration expresses Omega’s maritime heritage, while the weekday at 12 o’clock and date at 6 o’clock provide practical everyday functionality. At its heart is the COSC-certified Omega Co‑Axial calibre 8602, featuring an Si14 silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series and a 55-hour power reserve. Both calendar indications jump instantaneously at midnight. Through the sapphire display back, the beautifully decorated movement reveals Omega’s characteristic Geneva waves in arabesque. A discontinued Aqua Terra combining an elegant maritime design with a sophisticated mechanical movement and a distinctive Day‑Date display. When Omega created the Seamaster Aqua Terra it was influenced by some design elements which had characterized some great Omega wristwatches in the past. One of these was the 1960 Automatic Seamaster. The Aqua Terra is a fitting homage to its timeless design but what’s inside its case would make its ancestor proud. Notable Omega wearers: - Joe Biden, 46th President of the United States of America - Wally Schirra, one of the first Americans in space; also the first astronaut to wear a Speedmaster on a space mission in 1962 - Neil Armstrong, first man on the Moon as an Apollo 11 astronaut - Buzz Aldrin, second man on the Moon as an Apollo 11 astronaut - Daniel Craig, actor - George Clooney, actor - Tom Hanks, actor; famously wore a Speedmaster Professional while portraying Jim Lovell in Apollo 13 - Richard Hammond, presenter from Top Gear and The Grand Tour - Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands - Mark Knopfler, musician - Jeff Bezos, Founder of Amazon and many many others. High recognition value. Distinctive design. Excellent condition, never worn; the wristwatch comes from luxury watch-shop showcase; that's why the strap is replaced with brand new one: leather straps often suffer from temperature in shop windows due to powerful spotlights. Distrubutor's stock: the warranty card isn't stamped. For watches older than two years, “original warranty” in my description means that the warranty card is included. My personal authenticity and quality warranty: you will get warranty card (as pictured), fully completed, stamped and signed. My impeccable seller reputation speaks for itself: look at my feedbacks and sales ratings. Insured, registered shipping worldwide with Intl. Express service: it’s not cheap, and yet fast and reliable, two days in Europe, three days worldwide. All photos were taken personally by me and correspond to the exact wrist watch you are placing your bid on. NO EXTRA COSTS for EU Buyers! My verdict as a collector and connoisseur with over 30 years of experience: beautiful watch, high-precision movement with a generous power reserve, optimal universal size, striking blue dial with a finely textured vertical teak pattern, complemented by luminous hands and applied hour markers - an excellent choice for the discerning buyer.
