This is the steel version, with the case left in its natural color and a finish that alternates polished and brushed surfaces, for a clearer and more classic look compared to the plated versions. The dial is blue on blue with a sunray finish: light passes through it and alters its depth with every movement of the wrist, from bright blue to near-dark blue. The applied indices are all luminescent, as are the hands, for immediate readability even underwater and in the dark. The bezel insert is steel, not aluminum: it resists scratches, does not fade, and ages with the case rather than before the case. The dual polished and blasted finish makes it readable in all lighting conditions. Looking at the movement through the exhibition caseback you can see the Japanese automatic movement in action, with the Norton-custom rotor recharging with every wrist movement.
