No reserve price - Pendant - 18 kt

A dainty hand-carved pendant of natural jadeite in the form of a lotus pod (蓮蓬), set with an 18K gold (Au750) bail. NGTC certifies the jadeite as Type A, meaning it is untreated: no bleaching, no polymer impregnation and no dyeing. The lotus pod is carved as a gently tapering form with a softly rounded, knotted stem at the top and a base that flares slightly outward. Fine flowing lines run down its length, and the base is carved with the rounded detailing of the seed head, where the lotus holds its seeds. The polish is smooth and glossy, so light moves softly over every curve. In Chinese tradition, the lotus pod and its many seeds are a cherished symbol of abundance and a thriving family, often linked with the blessing 連生貴子. The lotus itself has long stood for purity and grace. The colour is light green, as stated on the certificate, brightened by a band of vivid apple green across the centre of the stone. The green fades softly into paler, translucent areas towards the seed head. The 18K gold bail is decorated with an openwork geometric pattern and adds a refined, warm finish to the cool green of the stone. Small, light and easy to wear, it is ideal for everyday elegance and makes a meaningful gift. A colour-matching stainless steel necklace is included as a gift, so the pendant is ready to wear straight away.
