Vintage modernist necklace with a fixed pendant by the Dutch silversmith Menno Meijer. The pendant has a strong sculptural design, composed of several geometric silver elements within an oval frame. Because of the different heights and directions, the whole piece gains a lot of depth and a distinctive modernist appearance. The pendant is permanently attached to the necklace and cannot be worn separately. Both the pendant and the necklace are hallmarked with FM2, the master mark of Menno Meijer, and with 835 for silver fineness. This makes it clear that the necklace and pendant belong together as a set. The necklace consists of a fine chain necklace of about 2.2 mm in width and has a length of about 45.5 cm. The pendant is included in that measurement and measures about 7 cm long, 2.7 cm wide at the widest point, and about 1 cm deep. The necklace and pendant are in excellent vintage condition, with little to no visible signs of wear. All parts are fully intact and in good working order.
