MUREX PECTEN The Venus comb is a marine gastropod of the genus Murex. The species is widespread in the Indo-Pacific area, predominantly in the tropical belt. The typical habitat is that of a coral reef at depths ranging from 0 to 340 m. Like other species of the same genus, M. pecten is a predatory gastropod that feeds on other mollusks. pedestal not included. A necessary clarification.
