Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Antique Persian Kashan Rug circa 1920 Size: 17 ft x 12 ft (5.18 m x 3.66 m) Provenance: Property of a New York residence A large and finely patterned Kashan rug attributed to the Dabir weaving tradition, featuring an uninterrupted floral design across a brilliant coral-red field. The intricate blossoms and scrolling vines are framed by a contrasting dark border filled with floral medallions. Its impressive 17-by-12-foot dimensions are increasingly difficult to find in finely woven antique Persian carpets, making this an especially useful decorative example for a large room. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #488 is in very good condition. The pile is full and even, with no visible signs of wear. Both ends are original and complete and secured. The sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor-ready.
