Nick - Sculpture

A remarkable and highly expressive bronze sculpture of two boxing hares, executed in a dynamic and playful composition. The two hares stand upright facing each other and seem captured in the midst of a fight. The greatly exaggerated ears, elongated bodies, and graceful movement of the legs give the work a lot of character and an almost human appearance. From every angle a different image emerges, making the sculpture appear particularly lively. The bronze has a beautiful dark, warm patina, with the modeling and various surface details clearly visible. The sculpture is mounted on a richly veined, dark-colored marble plinth, giving the whole piece a luxurious and classical look. On the bronze base there is a signature/marking and a round medallion; these are clearly shown in the close-up photos. A characterful work of art that fits remarkably well in both a classical and a modern interior. Very suitable as a statement piece on a console, sideboard, desk, or in an art collection.
