Copper engraving by Nicolaes van Geelkercken, published in 1639. Van Geelkercken (c. 1585-1656) was appointed as a cartographer in 1628 by the Hof van Gelderland to create maps of the duchy of Gelderland. These maps formed the appendices to the historical work of Gelderland - Historiae Gelricae - by Johan Pontanus, published in 1639 by J. Janssonius. Very good condition. Perfect print, strong paper.
