Naudet Pocket aneroid barometer - Wood, Brass, Glass

French aneroid barometer "Baromètre Holostérique" from the late 19th century, circa 1880-1900. Original case in solid dark wood, finely carved with volutes and botanical motifs, Napoleon III style. Brass bezel, original dial with French inscriptions: Gde PLUIE, Pluie ou Vt, VARIABLE, Beau Temps, B. FIXE, TRES-SEC, TEMPÊTE, BAROMÈTRE HOLOSTERIQUE. Original aneroid mechanism with a bellows capsule. Tested: the needle swings freely to touch and responds to altitude changes, indicating the capsule is still sealed and the mechanism not blocked. The rear calibration screw has not been tampered with. Condition: good conservational condition. Wood with original patina and normal signs of age, small wear to the base. Glass intact, dial clearly legible. Not restored, cleaning only superficial dry cleaning. Decorative and functional object, ready to hang.
