Natural, rarer Padparadscha sapphire – Rough crystal with...

This extraordinary rough crystal of a Padparadscha sapphire already in its untreated state shows that rare and valued blend of colors—pink, salmon, and a delicate violet sheen—that makes this gemstone so coveted worldwide. Under strong light the stone virtually glows: vivid pink to rosy zones spread from the interior and give it impressive depth, reminiscent of glowing mineral veins deep in the Earth. The crystal form is still clearly recognizable, with matte, natural growth facets that authentically preserve its formation in the ground. When turning the piece, finest color gradations, small inclusions and mineral structures reveal themselves—all of which makes this rough stone a characterful single piece, as one rarely finds. Padparadscha sapphires are among the most valuable members of the corundum family, and rough crystals of this size and color quality are especially sought after, both by collectors and by enthusiasts of exceptional gemstones. This piece combines the natural unaided origin of an uncut mineral with the intense, almost magical color of a true gem and reads like a quiet heart of light and glow.
