全部拍賣 / Ethnographic / Natural chrysoprase free-form set – Vibrant greens with...
This expressive set of three polished chrysoprase freeforms showcases a particularly varied palette of green tones. From pale apple and pistachio green to vivid grass green, a lively play of colors emerges, further accented by creamy white, brownish, and rusty mineral markings. Each of the three pieces has its own distinct character. The large left freeform appears comparatively calm and homogeneous with its finely speckled, light-green pattern. Countless subtle color nuances blend into one another, giving the surface a moss-like texture. The middle freeform displays substantially stronger contrasts. Intense green areas alternate with lighter, slightly translucent regions, while dark mineral inclusions and rust-brown accents traverse the material. This creates a multi-layered, almost landscape-like drawing. The right freeform presents itself as particularly lively. Here, rich, vivid greens meet striking ocher to rust-brown veins and inclusions that wind in sweeping patterns through the stone. The high-quality polish beautifully highlights both the color intensity and the delicate structures, imparting a pleasant optical depth to all three pieces. Chrysoprase belongs to the chalcedony group and owes its characteristic green color to nickel-containing mineral constituents. Stones with such a richly varied natural matrix have a very different character from uniformly colored, nearly inclusion-free chrysoprase and appear especially primal and individual. In the stone tradition, chrysoprase is regarded as a stone of confidence, renewal, and inner balance. It is attributed with a harmonizing effect that is supposed to help let go of stressful thoughts and encourage openness to the new. A decorative chrysoprase freeform set in which, in particular, the different greens, the visible mineral matrix, and the individual markings of each piece provide the special appeal.
