Natural amethyst crystal cathedral with calcite crystal...

This extraordinary amethyst crystal cathedral from Uruguay is an impressive work of natural art. Inside the opened geode, a dense crystal landscape of intensely violet amethyst unfolds, its center dominated by a striking light calcite crystal. Particularly fascinating is the strong contrast between the deep purple amethyst crystals and the cream-white calcite. The amethyst druse shows different violet nuances—from bright lilac on the outer areas to darker, richer tones inside. The numerous crystal points reflect light from various angles, creating an impressive sparkle. The centrally grown calcite forms the optical centerpiece of the cathedral. Its distinctly larger, bright crystal faces stand out unusually beautifully from the fine-crystalline amethyst structure and give this specimen a particularly individual character. The natural agate and rock layers at the edge of the geode are also clearly visible and demonstrably reveal the layered structure of this mineral. The dark natural outer structure provides an effective frame for the glowing crystal interior. An exceptional specimen from Uruguay that unites amethyst, calcite, and the natural geode structure in a single piece. Due to the individual crystal formation, this amethyst cathedral is a true one-of-a-kind and is excellent as an exclusive display piece for discerning mineral lovers and collectors.
