Nativity scene (89) - Plastic

Great Vintage Lot of 89 Mixed Nativity Figures - Italian Handmade Production - 1960s/1970s/1980s Splendid and rich vintage lot consisting of 89 pieces in total for the nativity scene, dating roughly from the period between the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The figurines are made of plastic/PVC and some are entirely hand-painted. The lot presents itself as a wide mixed collection, assembled over time by uniting figurines from various historic Italian productions of the era. Some characters have under the green base the stamped brand "Italy" with the corresponding serial numeric codes (including series 332/150), while other elements and animals complete the set with different styles, all perfectly coherent for the period, patina and sizes. The standing main characters are between 8 cm and 10 cm tall (standard scale of 9.5-10 cm), the most classic and sought-after measure for arranging traditional Christmas dioramas. The peculiarity of this lot lies in the large number of main sacred figures and shepherds accumulated over the years, an ideal availability for collectors seeking spare pieces or who want to set up multiple scenes simultaneously. Detailed inventory of the lot (89 total pieces): • 31 Sheep and lambs in various poses • 11 Baby Jesus in the manger • 10 Madonnas (Mary) • 10 Shepherds and shepherdesses (male and female figures in various poses) • 8 Oxen (7 intact + 1 with defect, see conditions section) • 7 Saint Joseph • 7 Magi • 5 Little donkeys • 4 Farmyard animals (ducks and chickens, etc) • 1 Scenic palm tree on a base Conditions of the item: All pieces are original to the era and are in good vintage condition, with the normal and characteristic signs of time due to age and small patinas or colour losses that attest to their authenticity and use over the years. Transparency note: It should be noted that among the 8 oxen present, one shows a small defect/wear mark, highlighted in the attached detailed photos. All other 88 pieces are structurally intact.
