N.B , Ancienne de précision

Ancient two-pan precision balance, built mainly of brass and mounted on a sturdy rectangular wooden base painted black. It features a mechanical beam with equal arms, two circular brass pans, and its central balancing system. The set is accompanied by several brass standard weights, notably weights marked 100 g and 50 g, placed directly in the slots provided on the base. Beautiful antique brass-and-wood craftsmanship, *** showing a patina, scratches and wear consistent with its age. Dating estimated: late 19th – early 20th century, circa 1890–1920. Very sought-after in the world of industrial design, scientific curiosities, antique medical technology, laboratory optics, steampunk, and rare measuring instruments.
